An extremely rugged suppressor, the HX-QD 556 is built with proven Flow-Through® technology, delivers hearing safe mid-130s dB performance, has no barrel length restrictions, is full-auto rated, and easily passes the USSOCOM Reliability Stress Test – it’s the ideal suppressor for all 5.56 rifles.
Materials & Finish: Unlike traditional suppressors that manage trapped gas, intense heat and pressure with blast baffles, OSS’s Flow-Through technology redirects expanding gases forward allowing us to use 17-4 stainless steel deflectors and internal Grade 5 Titanium coils. The result is a remarkably cooler and extremely durable suppressor. The HX-QD 556 has a fully-welded outer body made of 17-4 heat treated stainless steel coated with C-series high temperature black Cerakote®.
Sound Pressure Levels: The HX-QD 556 is the optimal choice for the widest range of 5.56 caliber rifles. Sound pressure levels are measured at the shooters ear to comply with current military specifications:
- 130 – 134 dB on 20” AR15 DI using commercial grade 55 gr ammo
- 133 – 137 dB on 16” AR15 DI using commercial grade 55 gr ammo
- 138 – 142 dB on 10.5” AR15 DI using commercial grade 55 gr ammo

FAST™ is a series of mounts and platforms that provide end users with a quicker sight picture than standard height mounts. A taller optical centerline (mechanical) height provides faster/easier reticle acquisition while wearing electronic ear pro/communication headsets, night vision goggles, gas masks, and plate carriers that can impede a natural shooting position. It allows for more rapid visual processing of the battlefield by promoting a heads-up posture.
The FAST™ LPVO Scope Mount series addresses the above-mentioned issues for and the rising popularity of Low Power Variable Optics on the battlefield. The FAST™ LPVO Mount series is available in 30mm and 34mm variants to accommodate all popular commercial and military scopes. It places the scope’s mechanical centerline at 2.05” above the rail. This height provides all the advantages of a tall mount while still being compatible with Clip-On Night Vision Devices (CNVD).
Keeping in tradition with the FAST™ line, the LPVO Mount series is more than a traditional scope mount. To accommodate the need for backup red dot sights, the mount accepts an optional Offset Optic Base (sold separately) that can be forward or rearward mounted. Additional Optic Adapter Plates are available with footprints for popular mini red dot sights. These plates have three positions to which they can be mounted on the Offset Optic Base, allowing users to fine tune the placement in relation to the MRDS’s size and host scope’s turret. The modularity allows users to change the mini red dot as they see fit.

FAST™ Riser securely elevates block-type red dot optics with a standard lower 1/3 cowitness picatinny mount to a 2.26″ optical center line. FAST™ Riser provides an elevated M1913 Picatinny platform for direct attachment of optics such as EOTech EXPS®, Leupold LCO®, Vortex UH-1®, and other “lower 1/3” optics*.
*Technically, the FAST™ Riser will support “absolute cowitness” optics such as EOTech XPS®, Sig Sauer Romeo8H®, etc. But, compatibility with the FAST™ FTC Magnifier Mount will be limited.
The FAST™ Riser comes standard with a rail-grabber clamp. A Flip-Up Offset Backup Rear Iron Sight module can be purchased separately. This feature will provide fast-transition BUIS capability to the FAST™ Riser. The Offset Rear Iron Sight Module is 100% compatible with existing Offset Front Sights such as those available from MAGPUL, Dueck Defense, Midwest Industries, and Knights Armament Company.
