The high performance unity-power (1X) night vision device allows night operation of any weapon system equipped with a MIL-STD-1913, or STANAG-4694, rail. Mounting options are available for weapons that are not equipped with a MIL-STD 1913 rail in front on the day optic which will provide adequate space for mounting the UNS LR-A3. Any weapon equipped with a Knight’s Armament Company Rail Adapter System (RAS) will accommodate the UNS LR-A3. The UNS LR-A3 primary use is intended to be in conjunction with day optics mounted to weapons as the primary sighting system. The UNS LR-A3 can be mounted forward of the day optic without any adverse effect on the weapon’s Point of Aim or Point of Impact. Verify after adjustments of QD Rail Mount and prior to mission. The UNS LR-A3 does not require any zeroing procedure when installed in front of a day optic. However, the following steps should be taken to ensure optimum picture quality. The controls on the UNS LR-A3 are focus and gain. The day optic, if equipped with a parallax or focus adjustment, should be adjusted to near infinity and parallax free. This allows the day optic to be focused clearly on the back of the image intensifier tube. The focus on the UNS LR-A3 will then be used to adjust the focus of the sight picture.

The UNS LR-A3 is a lighter weight improvement of the AN/PVS-30 Universal Night Sight, Long Range. The UNS LR-A3 adds the latest high performance Gen 3 light intensification night vision to most rifles and day scopes. This product is appropriate for front line long range rifles. The Knight Vision patented technology makes the product universal and assures the accuracy of your range tested day scope boresight will not be degraded. When the UNS LR-A3 is added in front, your existing optic, eye relief, and cheek weld are undisturbed. The refractive lens provides high performance light collection in a light weight design. Knight Vision patented Single Interchangeable Battery (SIB)® allows use of either CR123 or AA single cells, with a battery life exceeding 24 hours, and can be changed while you remain in shooting position. LMT® built the CSW300 with its patented Monolithic Rail Platform, the only true monolithic rail platform, which is milled from a single high-grade aluminum forging. Two locking bolts on the side of the receiver lock the barrel extension in place. MRP technology engages the barrel extension for a full 360 degrees and allows the barrel to be removed in seconds while minimizing point of impact shift. One receiver can support numerous barrels of varying length, material, and caliber. The Confined Space Weapon measures 24″ collapsed and is ideal for close quarter combat operations. The CSW300 upper receiver is mid-length and designed to enclose its combined barrel and suppressor. The receiver has an 16.5-inch Picatinny top rail while the remaining sides have locating lugs and screw holes. The locating lugs reduce recoil of attached accessories while the screw holes hold the accessory or rail to the weapon. This system comes with a grip stop installed on the front end to reinforce safe hand placement.

The barrel uses LMT’s Virtual Baffle System technology in its integral suppressor. The VBS suppressor defeats its competitors in the following ways:

passes SOCOM’s SURG high-performance stress test
rated for automatic fire
minimizes cyclic rate increase
maintains a lower average surface temperature at one hundred rounds
minimizes point of impact shift.

This weapon is built with the LMT® patented Monolithic Rail Platform, MRP®. The only true monolithic rail platform, milled from a single solid piece of aerospace aluminum forging. It utilizes two locking bolts accessible from the side of the receiver to lock in the barrel extension. This patented technology engages the barrel extension for a full 360 degrees around the extension and makes the barrel removable within seconds with a return to zero of the same barrel. One receiver can utilize numerous barrels of varying length, material, and caliber.

The MLC upper receiver has 14.5″ of uninterrupted 1913 picatinny rail on the 12 o’clock position. The remaining 7 sides provide M-LOK compatible attachment points.

Monolithic rail platform piston barrels utilize a standard/suppressed option gas block with removable piston rod and spring. They possess proprietary coating and are cryogenically treated for long term durability.
