FAST™ LPVO Scope Mount – 30MM

FAST™ is a series of mounts and platforms that provide end users with a quicker sight picture than standard height mounts. A taller optical centerline (mechanical) height provides faster/easier reticle acquisition while wearing electronic ear pro/communication headsets, night vision goggles, gas masks, and plate carriers that can impede a natural shooting position. It allows for more rapid visual processing of the battlefield by promoting a heads-up posture.

The FAST™ LPVO Scope Mount series addresses the above-mentioned issues for and the rising popularity of Low Power Variable Optics on the battlefield. The FAST™ LPVO Mount series is available in 30mm and 34mm variants to accommodate all popular commercial and military scopes. It places the scope’s mechanical centerline at 2.05” above the rail. This height provides all the advantages of a tall mount while still being compatible with Clip-On Night Vision Devices (CNVD).

Keeping in tradition with the FAST™ line, the LPVO Mount series is more than a traditional scope mount. To accommodate the need for backup red dot sights, the mount accepts an optional Offset Optic Base (sold separately) that can be forward or rearward mounted. Additional Optic Adapter Plates are available with footprints for popular mini red dot sights. These plates have three positions to which they can be mounted on the Offset Optic Base, allowing users to fine tune the placement in relation to the MRDS’s size and host scope’s turret. The modularity allows users to change the mini red dot as they see fit.

The MLKMWS upper receiver has 19.25″ of picatinny rail on the 12 o’clock position.  The remaining 7 sides provide M-LOK compatible attachment points.

MWS® barrels utilize a low profile gas block and straight gas tube.  They possess proprietary coating and are cryogenically treated for long term durability.

FAST™ FTC Magnifier Mounts feature the first ever Flip-To-Center (FTC) mechanism (patent-pending), providing stowage completely within the footprint of the weapon’s receiver while not occluding the host optic’s sight picture at all. This provides the most optic capability with the lowest profile during all modes of operation. The revolutionary FTC function completely solves the problem posed by legacy flip-to-side magnifier mounts (when disengaged, the magnifier hangs off the side of the gun, creating a major snag hazard). FAST™ Riser securely elevates block-type red dot optics with a standard lower 1/3 cowitness picatinny mount to a 2.26″ optical center line. FAST™ Riser provides an elevated M1913 Picatinny platform for direct attachment of optics such as EOTech EXPS®, Leupold LCO®, Vortex UH-1®, and other “lower 1/3” optics*.

*Technically, the FAST™ Riser will support “absolute cowitness” optics such as EOTech XPS®, Sig Sauer Romeo8H®, etc. But, compatibility with the FAST™ FTC Magnifier Mount will be limited.

The FAST™ Riser comes standard with a rail-grabber clamp. A Flip-Up Offset Backup Rear Iron Sight module can be purchased separately. This is the closest you can get to the true Estonia Defense Forces rifle. Of course, this rifle utilizes the patented LMT Monolithic Rail Platform (MRP) upper receiver, the only AR-15 upper that incorporates the handguard and receiver as one component. This state-of-the-art design is CNC machined from a single piece of forged aerospace aluminum resulting in benefits and functionality unmatched in the industry. Integrating this upper receiver with an MRP barrel creates an incredibly simplistic modular platform in which the barrel is held in place with a proprietary locking system utilizing two locking bolts on the right side of the receiver. Barrel swaps and caliber changes are easily completed in a few minutes with only a T-30 Torx bit and torque wrench (a factory pre-set torque wrench is available). Additionally, since the handguard is integral to the receiver you will not experience shifts in point of impact while using aiming devices that are attached directly to the handguard. Nor will you need to purchase expensive cantilever optic mounts.

The M-LOK upper receiver features LMT’s Gen 2 piston BCG, Gen 2 piston 14.3″ barrel with a pinned/welded flash hider/suppressor mount which supports GSL and Gemtech suppressors.

FAST Micro Mount

The FAST™ Micro Mount features built-in standard height back up iron sights that keep weapons uncluttered, without reducing capability. Both front and rear BUIS are completely adjustable for windage and elevation. The front sight post can be removed so that the rear BUIS aperture can be used with a traditional front sight such as our FUSION fixed or folding sights (if present), creating a more conventional sight radius. However, the built in front/rear BUIS is perfect for backup on super short PDW/SMG platforms where rail space is critical for mounting lights and lasers.

Designed for Aimpoint® Micro (H1, H2, T1, T2, CompM5) and other optics with Aimpoint® Micro footprint, such as those found on many Sig Sauer®, Holosun®, Primary Arms®, and Vortex Optics® platforms. NOTE: DOES NOT FIT AIMPOINT COMP M5S OR M5B.

Steyr SSG 08 Stainless .338 Lapua 25.6″

The Steyr SSG 08 is a high-precision, high-performance rifle that was designed to the specifications of Austria’s EKO COBRA anti-terrorism unit and developed for professional applications in demanding environments. The cold-hammer forged heavy barrels are generously free-floated.

Each SSG 08 is built on a system that includes a folding hard Eloxal-coated aircraft-aluminum stock with an adjustable rear monopod, a cheek piece that is vertically and horizontally adjustable, and a recoil pad that is horizontally adjusted by adding and removing spacers and vertically adjusted by sliding the pad itself up and down. The pistol grip is configurable with a choice of interchangeable back straps to adjust for hand size and optimized grip. The action is topped with a 20-MOA Picatinny rail, while the forend allows for short Picatinny rails on both sides. The underside of the stock also houses a UIT rail for the addition of accessories such as a handstop. A newly designed bi-pod is included, and the entire platform is available in a choice of finish including black and two camouflage designs – one light and one dark.

As in other Steyr high-performance bolt-action rifles, the SSG 08 is built on the Safe Bolt System (SBS) action with a unique 2+1 safety function that offers three settings operated by a wheel switch on the tang of the stock. The FIRE mode (safety off) is indicated by a red dot, and the first level of SAFE mode disables the firing mechanism while allowing the bolt to be cycled. The second SAFE position locks the bolt, at which point the bolt can be pushed down against the stock, locking the firing pin and firing mechanism out of firing position, allowing safe transportation with a round in the chamber. Simply pressing the safety’s release tab and rolling it forward returns the bolt to either the SAFE or the FIRE position.

Another feature in the SSG 08 is the 2-stage magazine securing mechanism that uses a first stage to lock the magazine in but allows the bolt to be operated without feeding rounds in the magazine, thereby providing the user with the options of dry firing or loading individual rounds by hand while maintaining a full magazine at the ready. Simply pressing up on the bottom of the magazine seats it in the second stage, making it ready for auto-loading.

The SSG 08 is available in four calibers with the following magazines:

  • .308 Winchester with 23.6-inch or 20-inch barrel length, 10-round magazine
  • .300 Winchester Magnum with 23.6-inch barrel length, 8-round magazine
