Steyr Scout Stainless .308 Win 19″

The Steyr Scout provides the ideal solution for versatility, durability, accuracy and reliability in a compact and lightweight bolt-action rifle platform. Developed in a nearly decade-long collaboration with legendary Marine Corps Lt.Col. Jeff Cooper, the Scout boasts an extensive list of innovative features.

The lightweight bolt-action, all-purpose Steyr Scout rifle was designed to accept a low-powered, forward-mounted scope for accurate fire and both-eyes-open operation to detect flanking dangers. Backup “ghost-ring” iron sights integrated to the top rail can be deployed within seconds should the optics fail. The rifle can also be fitted with a standard scope, should the need arise.

In keeping with Cooper’s requirement for a magazine cutoff, Steyr incorporated a two-position magazine system that allowed the rifle to be fed individually with the five-round magazine in a lowered position. The magazine could be seated one step further with minimal pressure, allowing the bolt to feed cartridges directly from the magazine. A second five-round backup magazine is contained in the buttstock in case of an urgent need to reload.

With a fluted, cold-hammer-forged barrel measuring 19 inches, an overall length of 38.6 inches and an out-of-the-box weight of just 6.6 pounds, the Scout is a breeze to pack out on long adventures, patrolling the farm or taking a quick trip to the range. The compact design of the stock features an innovative integrated bipod that is hardly noticeable until it is folded out from the stock. Between the bipod legs is a UIT rail for attachments, and the stock is outfitted with five press-and-twist sling-swivel attachment points that allow the addition of Cooper’s favored Ching Sling on either side of the rifle.

The Steyr Scout is built on the Safe Bolt System (SBS) action with a unique 2+1 safety function that offers three settings operated by a wheel switch on the tang of the stock. The FIRE mode (safety off) is indicated by a red dot, and the first level of SAFE mode disables the firing mechanism while allowing the bolt to be cycled. The second SAFE position locks the bolt, at which point the bolt can be pushed down against the stock, locking the firing pin and firing mechanism out of firing position, allowing safe transportation with a round in the chamber. Simply pressing the safety’s release tab and rolling it forward returns the bolt to either the SAFE or the FIRE position.

The Steyr Scout is available in a choice of Black, Mud, Green and White, and it is available chambered in the NEW 6.5 Creedmoor, .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington and .308 Winchester calibers. Two 5-round magazines are included. A high-capacity conversion kit and hi-capacity magazines are also available to increase carry capacity to 20 rounds.

The unique features make the Scout a self-contained platform that can easily be carried in a rifle scabbard without any need for attaching/detaching a bipod or finding extra pockets for a spare magazine, perfect for use on horseback, ATV or on a vehicle rifle rack.

Knight’s Armament KAC KS2 SR-15 E3.2 14.5″ MLOK Upper Receiver Group

Item: 121436

The 14.5″ KS-2 is the next generation of SR-15s from Knight’s Armament, improving upon the Mod 2 with the new URX6 rail and fully ambidextrous controls.
The KAC KS-2 SR-15’s 14.5” chrome lined, 5.56mm NATO barrel is manufactured to military specifications, features a proprietary mid-length gas system that increases reliability and durability while also reducing felt recoil, and is free-floated inside a 13” URX 6 handguard. An E3.2 round-lug bolt design both enhances function and increases bolt life far beyond the industry standard. On top of featuring a lobster-tail extractor for more reliable extraction, the E3.2 bolt features dual ejectors — ensuring positive ejection when utilizing suppressors.

The 5.56mm 3-Prong Flash Eliminator interferes with propellant gas combustion forward of the muzzle to significantly reduce flash signature, will not ring upon firing or when struck, and is compatible with the KAC line of 5.56mm QDC Signature Reduction Devices.

Steyr SSG 08 Camo .338 Lapua 25.6″

The Steyr SSG 08 is a high-precision, high-performance rifle that was designed to the specifications of Austria’s EKO COBRA anti-terrorism unit and developed for professional applications in demanding environments. The cold-hammer forged heavy barrels are generously free-floated.

Each SSG 08 is built on a system that includes a folding hard Eloxal-coated aircraft-aluminum stock with an adjustable rear monopod, a cheek piece that is vertically and horizontally adjustable, and a recoil pad that is horizontally adjusted by adding and removing spacers and vertically adjusted by sliding the pad itself up and down. The pistol grip is configurable with a choice of interchangeable back straps to adjust for hand size and optimized grip. The action is topped with a 20-MOA Picatinny rail, while the forend allows for short Picatinny rails on both sides. The underside of the stock also houses a UIT rail for the addition of accessories such as a handstop. A newly designed bi-pod is included, and the entire platform is available in a choice of finish including black and two camouflage designs – one light and one dark.

As in other Steyr high-performance bolt-action rifles, the SSG 08 is built on the Safe Bolt System (SBS) action with a unique 2+1 safety function that offers three settings operated by a wheel switch on the tang of the stock.

Another feature in the SSG 08 is the 2-stage magazine securing mechanism that uses a first stage to lock the magazine in but allows the bolt to be operated without feeding rounds in the magazine, thereby providing the user with the options of dry firing or loading individual rounds by hand while maintaining a full magazine at the ready. Simply pressing up on the bottom of the magazine seats it in the second stage, making it ready for auto-loading.

The SSG 08 is available in four calibers with the following magazines:

  • .308 Winchester with 23.6-inch or 20-inch barrel length, 10-round magazine
  • .300 Winchester Magnum with 23.6-inch barrel length, 8-round magazine
  • .338 Lapua Magnum with 25.6-inch barrel length, 6-round magazine
